Information

Characteristic, small windows were refurbished several times in the XVIII and XIX century. The larger bell, adorned with acanthus leaves and the coat of arms with the letters NS, originates from the year 1517, was moved here in 1819 from the tower of the destroyed Bartoszyce town hall. The smaller bell was cast with an ornament Rocaille in 1767. The interiors of the Gate were repeatedly rebuilt and plastered and do not have any characteristics of historic buildings.
The Lidzbark Gate survived, perhaps because it was a prison since 1881.
