The Open Air "Sieve Farmstead" Museum [Skansen "Zagroda sitarska"] in Biłgoraj is the most valuable complex of wooden houses in the city where the tourists can become acquainted with traditional handicrafts of the inhabitants of this part of Lublin Region – sieve making.
The sieve farmstead includes:
- dwelling house, built according to the corner structure, covered by the shingle hip roof, with the front porch; the house was erected in 1810.
- farm buildings in the courtyard (woodshed, two-chamber granary, cart shelter).
- stock building with the rooms for calves, horses, cows and pigs; traditional handicrafts of the inhabitants of Biłgoraj (sieve making, cooperage, wheel building, shingle production, oil production and pottery) are presented there.
