Beautiful East Świętokrzyskie

Świętokrzyskie voivodeship is located in the area of Świętokrzyskie Mountains (the oldest Polish mountains) and of Ponidzie and Sandomierz Territory rich in monuments and natural phenomena. Because of these tourist aspects it is a very popular tourist destination.

A natural attraction of the region is Świętokrzyski National Park and Świętokrzyskie Mountains landscape parks and a complex of Ponidzie landscape parks. 68 nature reserves (eg. Raj Cave, Zelejowa Mountain, Krzemionki) and 701 natural features of historic importance including 600-year-old „Bartek” Oak, numerous rocks, caves and loess ravines. An undubted advantage of the region is the fact that it is one of the purest regions in Poland.

Water tourism is undergoing a dynamic development and is gaining numerous supporters. The most popular rivers for canoeing are Kamienna, Nida and Vistula. Sailors and powerboaters are particularly attracted by artificial lakes like Chańcza, Golejów, Sielpia Wielka and Borków.
